| FarCry
is a proven enterprise level content management system.
FarCry was developed by Daemon over 4 years of working with government
and corporate clients to develop a content management solution
that was feature rich, affordable, open, flexible and extensible.
FarCry includes a comprehensive list of features and functions
that may be required by your team including distributed authoring,
granular security, LDAP integration, workflow and completely browser-based
administration.
By using FarCry you will not be gambling on the potential creation
of a “ground up” solution and potential risks to the project
timeline.
FarCry clearly separates content from design.
FarCry has the concept of look and feel treatments (known as
“webskins”) that can be easily integrated into the underlying
content management system. This enables the look of a site to
be easily updated to remain current without requiring substantial
redevelopment. The separation of content and design also assists
in the adherence to accessibility and usability guidelines by
making this purely a function of the presentation layer. Multiple
presentation styles may even be used to meet the different requirements
of different users.
FarCry templates ensure consistent presentation.
FarCry uses a template system to control the way in which various
elements within a web page are pulled together for the user. These
elements may include navigation items (such as primary navigation,
secondary navigation, breadcrumbs, related links or site maps),
files, images, text content or even mini applications.
FarCry is 100% built in Macromedia ColdFusion.
FarCry has been completely rewritten to take advantage of the
latest version of ColdFusion, ColdFusion MX. You can therefore
be confident of very strong developer community should this be
required in the future.
The use of ColdFusion gives you a significant number of other
benefits including the integrated Verity K2 search engine and
integrated charting. ColdFusion also runs on a wide number of
web and application server platforms allowing you to make platform
decision while knowing that their CMS will continue to operate.
FarCry has an object-oriented approach to content management.
This approach allows FarCry to easily adapt to handle a wide
range of content types that may be required now or into the future.
Some of the content types already available for FarCry include
HTML pages, news, events, facts, polls, competitions, careers,
FAQs, tenders and many more. No matter what your future requirements,
we believe FarCry will be able to fit the bill. |
